Southern Boone School District has an anticipated opening for a certified Special Education teacher.  We need a student-centered individual who is creative and has the great relational skills necessary in order to produce student excellence.  The qualified applicant will be an enthusiastic, positive and energetic team player, dedicated to student achievement and able to help our school grow as a Professional Learning Community. 

Essential Job Requirements

• Knowledge of Special Education law and policies to help our school remain in compliance with Special Education law and school board policy
• Ability to write, execute and see that our school is in compliance with student IEP’s
• Ability to help students and families with the post-secondary transition of the student’s IEP.
• Ability to navigate Google Classroom and other common Google applications

 A Missouri teaching certificate, or the ability to show that the candidate is in the process of obtaining proper certification, verifying Special Education certification is required.
