The Southern Boone Primary School has an opening for a Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Cross-Categorical K-12 Special Education Certification is required.  Early Childhood Special Education certification is preferred, but not required.   Applicant must be proficient in IEP development and implementation for students in grades K – 2nd.     Job expectations and duties will include: Familiar with all aspects of early childhood developmental stages, provide students with specialized instruction based on unique needs resulting from identified disabilities, monitor and report individual student progress utilizing data that reflects student performance on IEP goals, serve as case manager for assigned students, communicate effectively with parents, team members, staff, and agency representatives, establish and maintain a safe, orderly and child centered classroom environment.   Physical demands: able to comfortably lift 50 pounds.
